Products @ Lifetime Steel Homes Inc.Temporary
and Permanent Housing
These units
will be built to Washington Temporary Worker Housing Codes if purchased for
Washington State and to UBC codes if purchased for Oregon State. These stringent
standards will produce units that will meet all other jurisdictional
requirements.
They can be
ground-set when they are delivered to their destination. The wheels and axels
can be removed and the units secured to the ground or a foundation with
tie-downs, to become a more permanent structure.
The structures will be factory assembled in an array of sizes for different applications, but are limited to dimensional maximums for highway transit. However the units will be able to be clustered and arranged in a variety of sizes for a variety of purposes. Below are examples of kitchen, Laundromat and restrooms.
Please refer to the Mobile Unit page for more product information, floor plans and pricing for the above farm worker housing units. Emergency
Portable Shelters
Lifetime
has designed a flexible, easily erected, lightweight, strong, freight ready
structure. These shelters are well suited for rapid national or international
distribution for emergency response. The product will withstand Cat #5 hurricane
winds, seismic loads, high humidity levels and pest resistant. They are designed
to be a “kit-of-parts”, which may be reconfigured from smaller temporary
structures into larger permanent housing, or schools and clinics through
re-assembly. The panels are designed with shipping container modular dimensions. Affordable
Entry Level Home Ownership Opportunities Above: upper level and the two floor plans below show the main level .
Current
conventional wood-framed housing costs are placing home-ownership opportunities
outside the grasp of many lower and middle class families.
Costs for an average spec home may be as high as $80/ sq. ft. and take
several months to finish. Lifetime steel panels will substantially reduce the
cost and speed of construction. The production of framing for small, single family homes can be done on one production line. This line can run 4-5 home framing kits every 8 hours. These kits will leave the plant and go to the home sites as individual bundled packages, an erector set, ready to screw together. High-end,
trendy mid-century-modern classics in modern tradition. Current
trends in sophisticated markets are that of the panelized, prefabricated with
high style and flexible design. These units provide low-cost materials and an
ease and speed of construction. The
panels would offer construction potential in remote areas, such as the gulf
islands of Puget Sound. Simply load panels on barge and crane into place. The buildings in each product line use many of the same materials for construction. Lifetime will use traditional construction materials such as, galvanized steel framing, plywood sheathing, galvanized steel exterior finish, vinyl and carpet floor finishes, etc. However material may vary based on market requirements and application.
